In the 70s commercial poaching Zambia, making it from one of the richest countries in wildlife into a land rich in endangered species. In a decade alone, in the Luangwa valley, over 35,000 elephants were killed and the black rhino become a thing of the past. The whole population estimated around 4500 individuals were slaughtered.
